Getting to know julaine

By profession, Julaine is a mostly-retired lawyer. Her experiences with newcomers and refugees date back to the late 1980s. Julaine participated in the 2014 Canadian Baptist Women's mission trip to Rwanda. She has also been blessed by previous mission outreach trips to Albania, Germany, Bolivia and Brazil. With her heart for newcomers to Canada. she is chair of her church's  Refugee Outreach Committee and so was involved with her church's sponsorship of two families of Iraqi newcomers in 2015.

Julaine is a member of Gilmour Memorial Baptist Church, Peterborough, Ontario. She is currently the president of the Baptist women's group and past chair of the Missions Committee. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Baptist Women of Ontario and Quebec.

She and her husband, George Neil, have two grown, married sons and two granddaughters.
